The Patrol Division is under the command of Lt. David Keale, under the direction of the Office of the Chief of Police.

Division Leadership

Lieutenant Keale Lt. Keale is a graduate of the University of Houston–Downtown Police Academy (Class of 1995), he brings more than two decades of law enforcement experience to the City of Teague. Over the course of his career, he has served in a wide range of public‑safety roles, including county jailer, deputy sheriff, juvenile corrections officer, and parole officer. He holds a Master Peace Officer license and has built a reputation for professionalism, steady leadership, and a strong commitment to community service. The Patrol Division provides 24/7 coverage across Teague. Patrol officers are the first line of response for calls for service, proactive policing, traffic enforcement, and neighborhood safety. Patrol works closely with CID, Administration, Animal Control, Code Enforcement, and partner agencies to address public safety needs.

Patrol Operations

What Patrol Does

Responds to calls for service (from car crashes to thefts, robberies, and more)
Patrols neighborhoods, businesses, and streets
Enforces traffic laws (speeding, insurance, registration)
Serves warrants and locates intoxicated drivers
Removes illegal guns and drugs from the streets
Solves problems with residents—supporting code enforcement and community concerns

Shift Structure

12‑hour shifts with two rotations for Days and Nights
Alternating days off for consistent staffing

Team Roster (Patrol Division)

Officer Hutchison — Senior Officer Officer Hutchison joined the Teague Police Department in April 2019. Inspired to serve since childhood, he began his path in public safety working as a jailer before transitioning into patrol. He holds an Associate’s Degree, strengthening the foundation of professionalism and accountability he brings to the job.

Officer Condren Officer Condren has served the City of Teague for seven years, bringing experience, discipline, and a strong commitment to public safety. Before entering law enforcement, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps infantry as a team leader, where he developed the leadership and mission‑focused mindset he carries into his work today.

He has also served with the Mexia Police Department and continues to look for opportunities to be involved with and support the citizens of Teague. Officer Daniel Officer Daniel joined the Teague Police Department in February 2024 after several years working in private security, where he frequently collaborated with agencies such as the Dallas Police Department and Fort Worth Police Department. Growing up with a father who is a Master Peace Officer, he developed a deep respect for the profession and felt called to continue that legacy of service.

Teague Police Department provided the opportunity for him to enter the profession, sponsoring his training through the McLennan County Law Enforcement Academy. Officer Daniel now serves the community with professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to protecting the residents of Teague.

Cadet Program

The next staff members have recently joined our department through Cadet program. They will be attending the police academy and, upon graduation, becoming full time officers for our department.

Cadet Minter Cadet Minter brings a strong background in public safety and security, where he developed a deep commitment to service, leadership, and community protection. His experience in high‑responsibility environments has sharpened his communication, problem‑solving, and crisis‑response skills. Jeremy is pursuing a career in law enforcement to continue serving others and to make a meaningful, lasting impact in the communities he protects. His dedication to professionalism, integrity, and public service reflects the values he strives to uphold each day.

Cadet Walls Cadet Walls has served the City of Teague as a full‑time EMS professional for the past two years, bringing valuable experience from emergency medical services and a strong commitment to helping the community. A resident of Freestone County for the past decade, he is dedicated to serving and protecting the place he calls home. Ryan is currently pursuing his goal of attending the police academy and becoming a full‑time police officer, continuing his path of public service and community care.
