Report Code Enforcement Violations

Use this page to report city ordinance and property maintenance violations within the incorporated limits of the City of Teague.

Examples of common violations:

  • Tall weeds/grass, trash or debris accumulation
  • Junk/abandoned vehicles on private property
  • Illegal dumping or outdoor storage blocking sidewalks/rights‑of‑way
  • Unsafe or dilapidated structures; unpermitted construction
  • Signage violations (signs, banners in prohibited areas)
  • Standing water/mosquito breeding, health/sanitation concerns
  • Persistent noise/nuisance conditions (non‑emergency)

For emergencies (immediate life safety hazards):
Active fire, strong gas odor, exposed live electrical lines, a collapsing structure, or similar—Dial 911.

Non‑emergency reports (inside city limits):

What to include:

  • Exact location (address or nearest intersection)
  • Description (what’s happening, frequency/duration, any risks)
  • Photos/video (optional, if safe to obtain)
  • Your name & contact information (optional, but helps us follow up)

Jurisdiction note:
This page is for issues inside Teague city limits. If the issue is outside city limits, please contact the appropriate local agency.

What happens next:
A Code Enforcement Officer will review, inspect, and—if a violation is found—issue a notice with a timeframe to correct. We then re‑inspect and may take further action (citations or other remedies) if the violation is not corrected.
