The Texas Code of Criminal Procedure requires law enforcement agencies to have a written complaint process and to educate the public about it. The Teague Police Department follows this law and maintains a comprehensive policy manual.

Complaints
We take all complaints seriously. The public is entitled to fair, impartial, and professional law enforcement. Misconduct is thoroughly investigated and appropriately addressed. Employees are also protected from false allegations through a consistent, thorough process.
Important: Texas Government Code § 614.022 requires complaints against police officers to be in writing and signed by the person making the complaint.
How to file a complaint:
Complete the Teague Police Department Officer Complaint Form and do one of the following:
- In person: Visit our office during normal business hours and submit a written complaint.

What to expect:
You will receive written notification of the investigation’s outcome.
Your complaint will be received courteously and investigated thoroughly.
Findings are reviewed through the chain of command and by the Chief of Police.
