Organizational Structure

Our Team

The Teague Police Department operates with an authorized strength of 7 sworn peace officers and 2 civilian employees, supported by a dedicated group of reserve officers who volunteer their time to enhance public safety.

Structure

Our department is organized to ensure efficiency and accountability through the following components:

Office of the Chief of Police – Provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for all departmental operations.

Administrative Services Division – Manages records, municipal court support, animal control, and code enforcement.

Patrol Responsible for 24/7 law enforcement, crime prevention, and community policing.

Investigations – Handles criminal investigations and works to bring offenders to justice.

Animal Control – Responds to reports of stray, lost, or dangerous animals, enforces local pet-related ordinances, and promotes responsible pet ownership. Animal Control works to ensure the safety of residents and animals while maintaining public health standards.

Code Enforcement Ensures compliance with city ordinances related to property maintenance, zoning, and public nuisances. The goal is voluntary compliance, but citations or court action may occur when violations are not corrected. Code Enforcement helps maintain a clean, safe, and attractive community environment.
